Components

• Sliding blocks: Techno-polymer, Large contact area, High performance, Long life resistance;
• Gaskets: Temperature range from -20°C to 80°C with standard Buna-N gaskets. Higher temperature can be reached with optional Viton gaskets and techno-polymer driving sliding blocks and bushes (120°C continuous and 150°C cyclic). Lower temperature available with silicones gaskets –50°C;
• End caps and pistons: Die-cast aluminium pistons are anodized or coated with corrosion proofing painting. An alternative version is avaible in INOX, produced with AISI 316;
• Springs cartridges: Springs are made of steel and coated with corrosion proofing painting, they are pre-assembled with techno-polymer;
• Pinion: Electroless nickel coated carbon steel Pinion (stainless steel available on request). With Three-dimensional standard techno-polymer OPEN/CLOSED indicator;
• Sliding block: Techno-polymer, Large contact area, High performance, Long life resistance;
• Flange: Techno-polymer or die-cast aluminium. This is the pinion anti-knockout system;
• Body: Extruded aluminium body with internal surfaces lapped to reduce frictions and to increase the life of gaskets;


Features and advantages

• The pinion rack pneumatic actuator produces linear torque output;
Using the same body and end caps for both double acting and spring return units;
• The female pinion drive is with a double square output drive;
• The standard angle of rotation is 90°;
• The pinion is equipped with bushes that prevent it from direct bearing with the actuator body;
• The pinion height (NAMUR H = 30) allows manual override without disturbing the indicated positions;
• External open/closed indicator is standard, available indicators for all the rotations;
• On pistons and pinions are assembled sliding block to separate them from the actuator body, thus allowing a better drive and a reduction of friction;
• The pistons feature a keyway as anti-knockout system;
• All internal and external components are treated to increase corrosion proofing;
• Springs are made of steel and coated with corrosion proofing painting, they are pre-assembled with techno-polymer;
• The processing air pressure is 2 ± 10 Bar. To operate the actuator, can be used either filtered compressed air, or dry or better lubricated air in addition to emulsified water and compatible hydraulic fluids;
• All external fasteners are stainless steel;
• All units are permanently lubricated at the factory with non-silicone grease;
• All actuators can be produced with AISI 316 body and pinion for particular applications;
• All units are externally stamped with a progressive traceable serial number;
• 100% of all units are factory pressure leak tested, and individually boxed for shipment.
